LIPA CITY COLLEGES STRENGTHENS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS

In celebration of the institution's 73rd Founding Anniversary, the Human Resources Development Office through the Lipa City Colleges' Administrators, Faculty and Staff Development Program conducted a webinar on November 20, 2020 entitled "Mind for Better Mental Health: How to Find Balance in the New Normal". Ms. Mariflor "Yeng" Gatchalian, a registered psychologist, and adviser of the Psychological Association of the Philippines CALABARZON - MIMAROPA Chapter graced the event as the resource speaker.
This activity focused on the promotion of mental wellness among our employees especially during this challenging time brought about by the different calamities such as volcanic eruption, earthquake, typhoons and the uninterrupted global health threat of COVID-19 pandemic. During her talk, Ms. Yeng highlighted the importance of self - care among our employees. The LCC Management believed in the importance of their employees' mental resilience and adaptive ability to stress and the new normal.
The event was moderated by Ms. April D. Acielo, Officer-In-Charge of the Research Department and was attended by the employees via live streaming through the official Human Resource Facebook Account. Aside from the engaging and informative talk of Ms. Yeng, an open forum was conducted which made the seminar more interactive and more interesting. The Administrators, Faculty and Staff Development Program is a significant part of institution's annual activities that covers educational, professional, socio-cultural, physical and spiritual development of all employees.
