Appreciating its commitment to excellence, Lipa City Colleges revisited the history behind the establishment of the institution in the opening program of the 72nd Founding Anniversary Celebration held at Carlos B. Mojares Gynasium, November 21.
President Glecy B. Mojares, Vice president for Finance and Internal Affairs Marjorie M. Abiera and Vice President for Administration and Corporate Affairs Joe Vincent Abiera together with the management committee spearheaded the ceremonial flower offering in the Tribute to Founders for the late Dr. Ricardo and Marcela Bonilla.
"Let's reflect not only on the beginnings of this institution but also on the significant changes and development that we have that have conspired to what we have to call now. Let us revisit and reconnect to the continuing journey of LCC." Dr. Abiera quoted.
Speaking to more than two thousand student- attendees in the program, teaching and non-teaching staff, and members of the management committee, Dr. Abiera reiterated the institution's commitment to its vision and mission in implementing plans for the future.
"Moving forward, LCC will continue to build a distinguished reputation for continuous innovation in its basic, undergraduate, and graduate education programs, research and community and civic engagement practices. LCC will continue to provide opportunities to deserving students who do not have the financial means to attend schooling" Dr. Abiera added.
Also, the tribute emphasized the benevolence of the founders up to present administration in providing the best educational pursuits.
"Scholarship grants and benefits retain our top priority, this is included in our founders' vision and objectives. May we all continue to live up with the vision of our founders, and to the ideals of our institution" Dr. Abiera uttered.
The Tribute to Founders is one of the highlights of the celebration that aims to showcase the deepest gratitude of the LCC community to the founders and to reminisce their contribution to the development of LCC in providing education with leadership, competence and commitment.
