TRAINING- WORKSHOP ON RESEARCH PROPOSAL WRITING

The Graduate School Department annually conducts its community outreach program through promoting education innovation and community involvement. This year's training focuses on acquiring new knowledge in research writing with theme "TRAINING- WORKSHOP ON RESEARCH PROPOSAL WRITING". The activity was held on May 16-17, 2019, 8:00AM- 5:00PM at Mock Hotel of Lipa City Colleges.
The participants were teachers from LCC Silvercrest Senior High School and DEpEd Division of Lipa City. Dr. Dina Dayon, the Vice- President for Academic Affairs, welcomed the participants and congratulated them for taking time to upgrade and increase their knowledge and skills in research writing. She also reiterated that research is one of the trifold functions of every institution, thus, strong research capability, partnerships and collaboration are important to sustain quality.
Dr. Allan D. Tipan, the Director for Research and Development of LCC was the resource speaker. His discussion focused on the IMRAD method of a research format. He walked through the participants on the step-by-step process of writing the paper and providing opportunities to the participants to produce their own output every step.
At the end of the 2-day training, the best group was awarded for coming up with the Best Research. The award was given to the research with the strong problem statement, design, originality and content. The winning group members were Beverly Molleno, Amy Arellano, Mellanie Corachea, Desiree Simagala and Kenneth Kerby Baet, all from Dep-Ed, Division of Lipa. The winning research was, "The Effectiveness of Innovative Approaches in the Enhancement of Students' Vocabulary Knowledge"
We are hopeful that RDO has imparted the participants the tools and the motivation to do research as part of their professional undertakings.
